Antenatally diagnosed ovarian cyst with torsion managed laparoscopically
Ovarian cyst are the most common intra-abdominal cyst in female neonate. With the help of ultrasound one can make an antenatal diagnosis. We present one such neonate, she was managed by laparoscopic excision. We conclude that neonatal laparoscopy is technically feasible for management of such cysts.
متن کاملClinical outcome of congenital talipes equinovarus diagnosed antenatally by ultrasound.
Congenital talipes equinovarus is a common anomaly which can now be diagnosed prenatally on a routine ultrasound scan at 20 weeks of gestation. Prenatal counselling is increasingly offered to parents with affected fetuses, but it is difficult to counsel parents if there is a chance that the fetus may not have talipes. Our study correlates the prenatal ultrasound findings of 14 infants diagnosed...

AIMS To ascertain the outcome associated with antenatal renal pelvis dilatation; to recommend guidelines for postnatal investigation and determine an upper limit of normal for the anterioposterior dimensions of the fetal renal pelvis. METHODS Infants whose antenatal ultrasound scan showed a fetal renal pelvis of 5 mm or greater were investigated using postnatal renal tract ultrasound and a mi...
متن کاملCase Report: Infant with prenatally diagnosed arachnoid cyst
Case This patient’s central nervous system abnormality was first suspected during a routine prenatal ultrasound at 29 weeks gestation. It was discovered that the patient had ventriculomegaly and a pineal region cyst (Figure 1a). A fetal MRI was performed at 31 weeks gestation (Figure 2). This showed a 3x3x3 cm unilocular cyst in the quadrigeminal plate cistern causing obstructive hydrocephalus....
متن کاملAntenatally Diagnosed Wilms’ Tumour
Wilms' tumour (WT) is seldom seen in a neonate and prenatal diagnosis is rare. We present a case of antenatally diagnosed left sided WT with features of hydrops foetalis in a girl baby. Emergency LSCS was done at 34 weeks of gestation for foetal distress. Patient required mechanical ventilation for birth asphyxia and congestive cardiac failure. After stabilization, gross total resection of the ...
